Mòd Dhùn-omhain 2006

All senior Competitors must be paid-up members of An Comunn Gàidhealach.
The following should only be filled out by those competitors wishing to pay by credit / debit card:
CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES IS 31 MAY 2006. ALL OWN CHOICE MUSIC MUST BE SUBMITTED BY 31 AUGUST 2006. NO LATE OR FAXED ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.
COMPETITORS SHOULD NOTE THAT UNLESS THERE ARE A MINIMUM OF THREEENTRIES IN SOLO AND DUET COMPETITIONS, THE COMPETITION WILL BE SUSPENDED FOR THAT YEAR. N.B. THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO COMPETITIONS WITH MORE THAN TWO COMPETITORS OR TO LITERARY AND CLARSACH COMPETITIONS. THE FINAL DECISION IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE MOD COMPANY.
Own Choice Songs All own choice pieces must be submitted by 31 August 2006 with the exception of all final competitions i.e GS224 (Gold Medal Final), TS234 (Traditional Final) and SS254 (Silver Pendant Final) which must be submitted by qualifiers to the Mod Office in Dunoon as soon as possible. Two copies of words, music and translation for each song must be submitted. Each copy must be clearly marked with the competitor's name and competition number. Once submitted, competitors will not be allowed to change their "own choice" pieces.
Traditional Song (Competition Numbers A230, A231 and A248) Two copies of words only must be supplied. Each copy must be clearly marked with the competitor's name and competition number.
Marjory Kennedy Fraser Competition (Competition A270) Three copies of words, music and translation for each song must be submitted. Each copy must be clearly marked with the competitor's name and competition number.
Puirt-a-Beul Puirt-a-beul must be sung to strict Highland Dance measure.
Instrumental Competitions All competitors taking part in the instrumental competitions may, if they so wish, use sheet musicduring competitions. Music for instrumental competitions is not required to be submitted with the entry form.
Literary Competitions All literature entries must be submitted by 31 May 2006.
Mod ProgrammeIt is expected that the Mod Programme will be available by the end of the Summer.
